We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in a dynamic food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing inventory, and maintaining high-quality food preparation and presentation. Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and scheduling team members.
Monitor food safety practices and ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimize profitability.
Operate POS systems such as Micros POS and Cash Handling procedures accurately during service.
Lead by example in providing excellent customer service and hospitality to guests.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with sanitation standards.
Assist in menu planning and development based on current trends and customer preferences.
Handle administrative tasks related to restaurant management, including reporting and record keeping.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong leadership skills with prior supervising or team management experience in the food industry.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
Proficiency in POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling experience is essential.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper kitchen hygiene practices.
Ability to manage restaurant operations efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.
Experience with interviewing potential staff members and building effective teams.
Familiarity with restaurant management software and inventory control systems.
Strong communication skills coupled with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
