Kwangtong Cafe is currently seeking a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Helper to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and support the chefs in daily operations.
Title: Kitchen helper
Term: Full-time, permanent
Wage: $15.50/Hour
Hours: 8 hours a day and 40 hours a week
Vacation Pay: 10 days paid vacation.

Job duties:
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, work areas, and dishes on a regular basis.
• Assist the chef with food preparation tasks such as washing, chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients.
• Set up workstations and ensure all necessary tools and supplies are ready before cooking operations begin.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety by following proper food handling and sanitation procedures; promptly clean spills to prevent accidents.
• Store ingredients and supplies properly and assist with inventory control when needed.
• Remove trash and clean floors, counters, and storage areas as required.
• Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor or head chef.

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food preparation setting is an advantage.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
