• Wage: $26-27/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

Benefits:

Job Duties:
• Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes, including sushi, sashimi and hot kitchen items, ensuring consistency and high quality
• Oversee the daily activities of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and smooth kitchen operations
• Develop and adjust menu items while maintaining high standards for food quality, presentation and portion control
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate the ordering of food ingredients and kitchen supplies as required
• Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques, cooking procedures and safe food handling practices
• Keep records related to food costs, inventory usage and kitchen supplies to support effective kitchen management
Job requirements:
• Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
