Tasks:
- Assessing clients’ physical abilities, injury history, and mobility challenges to create individualized recovery and movement plans tailored to their specific needs.
- Designing and implementing specialized stretching and mobility classes for members, focusing on improving joint flexibility, movement range, and injury prevention.
- Diagnosing movement-related issues and identifying areas of muscular imbalance or restriction, then recommending appropriate recovery pathways and exercises.
- Planning customized recovery routines for clients, including targeted exercises to aid in injury recovery, improve mobility, and build functional strength.
- Guiding clients through mobility and strengthening exercises to support their injury recovery, increase functional movement, and enhance overall physical resilience.
- Monitoring and adjusting client programs as they progress, providing ongoing feedback, motivation, and support to optimize recovery outcomes.
- Educating clients on injury prevention techniques, correct movement practices, and daily mobility habits to reduce the likelihood of re-injury.
- Collaborating with other fitness professionals at the gym, such as personal trainers and physiotherapists, to create comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approaches for client wellness.
- Keeping accurate and detailed records of client assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes to ensure continuity of care and compliance with industry standards.
- Leading workshops and educational sessions on injury prevention, movement science, and functional fitness to empower clients with knowledge to enhance their own health and wellness.
- Staying updated on the latest kinesiology research and integrating new, evidence-based practices into client programs to continuously improve service quality.
- Developing and implementing targeted warm-up and cool-down routines for classes and personal training sessions to prepare members for physical activity and promote recovery.
- Assessing postural alignment and movement efficiency in clients, recommending adjustments or exercises that support proper alignment and reduce strain.
- Creating and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for clients during all sessions, adhering to gym safety protocols and maintaining clean, organized equipment spaces.
- Providing consultation sessions to help prospective clients understand the benefits of kinesiology for recovery, mobility, and functional health.
- Designing progressive programs that address long-term goals for clients, such as improved athletic performance, enhanced mobility, or successful rehabilitation from injuries.
- Assisting in marketing the kinesiologist-led services by developing informational materials, contributing to social media content, and supporting community outreach to raise awareness of the gym’s offerings.
