Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kinesiologist to join our multidisciplinary wellness team. The successful candidate will primarily work with older adults and seniors, providing individualized assessments, therapeutic exercise programs, rehabilitation, and movement education designed to improve mobility, independence, balance, and overall quality of life. The position requires experience working with senior populations and delivering evidence-based exercise interventions within the scope of professional kinesiology practice. This position will be full-time and permanent, and the work location is 3785 W 10th Ave, Vancouver, BC V6R 3T3

The wage will be $38.50/hour with approximately 30-40 hours per week. The overtime pay will be 1.5x the regular rate, beginning after 40 hours of work per week and / or 8 hours per day.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
– Conduct comprehensive movement, functional, posture, mobility, balance, and fitness assessments to determine clients' current physical condition, functional abilities, and rehabilitation needs.
– Review relevant health histories, physician referrals, and reports from other healthcare professionals to develop safe and effective treatment strategies.
– Develop individualized exercise, rehabilitation, and movement therapy programs based on clients' health conditions, functional abilities, and personal goals.
– Design and implement corrective exercise and therapeutic movement programs to improve strength, flexibility, balance, posture, mobility, functional independence, and overall physical performance.
– Deliver one-on-one and small group kinesiology sessions using evidence-based exercise and rehabilitation techniques.
– Provide functional movement retraining, exercise rehabilitation, injury prevention, and chronic disease management programs within the professional scope of kinesiology practice.
– Monitor, evaluate, and document client progress through ongoing reassessments, maintain accurate clinical records, and modify treatment programs as appropriate to optimize outcomes.
– Educate clients on proper exercise techniques, healthy movement patterns, injury prevention, fall prevention, chronic condition management, and healthy aging.
– Collaborate with physicians, physiotherapists, massage therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, client-centered care.
– Provide specialized exercise programming for seniors to improve mobility, balance, strength, independence, and quality of life.
– Motivate and support clients in achieving their rehabilitation, wellness, and fitness goals through continuous coaching and education.
– Maintain accurate client documentation and ensure compliance with professional standards and clinic policies.
– Maintain a clean, safe, and professional treatment environment at all times.
– Build positive relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service, professionalism, and effective communication.
– Participate in community outreach, wellness initiatives, and other clinic activities that support client engagement and business growth.

Job Requirements:
– Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology is required.
– Registration or eligibility for registration with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK) is required.
– Minimum one year of recent experience working as a Kinesiologist with senior or older adult populations is required.
– Personal training certification featuring in person practical training.

Candidates possessing one or more of the following qualifications will be considered strong assets:
– Certification in Menopause Coaching, Menopause Health, or Women's Midlife Health.
– Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or equivalent strength and conditioning certification.
– Experience in corrective exercise, chronic disease management, balance training, fall prevention, or functional movement rehabilitation.
– Strong interpersonal, communication, documentation, and motivational coaching skills.
– Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
– Excellent organizational, time management, and client relationship management skills.
– Important role on team education, able to lead team workshop
– Experience working with GLP-1
– Experience working with osteoporosis.
