Kennel Technician/ Front Desk Positions Available Job

$16-$18/ Hour- Multiple Part-Time Positions Available

Animal Care:

Feed and water pets according to their dietary needs and schedules.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
Monitor pets for signs of illness, injury, or distress and report any concerns promptly.
Provide exercise, playtime, and enrichment activities to ensure pets’ physical and emotional well-being.
Facility Maintenance:

Clean and sanitize kennels, grooming areas, and common spaces regularly to maintain a hygienic environment.
Dispose of waste and follow proper protocols for handling soiled materials.
Ensure that all pet bedding and toys are clean and in good condition.

Customer Service:

Greet pet owners and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
Address any questions or concerns from pet owners with professionalism and empathy.
Provide updates on pets’ well-being to owners as needed.
Team Collaboration:

Work closely with veterinarians and groomers to ensure comprehensive care for pets.
Assist in training new staff and volunteers as needed.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving facility procedures and protocols.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of pet care, including feeding schedules, medications, and behavioral observations.
Update records with any changes in pets' conditions or care instructions.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in animal care or a related field is preferred.
Certification in pet first aid or animal care is a plus.

Skills & Attributes:

Strong passion for working with animals and a commitment to their well-being.
Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments safely.
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to lift and carry up to [X] pounds and perform physical tasks related to animal care.

Other Requirements:

Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed.
Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
