Job Description:
Assist in the execution of architectural design and technical tasks across all phases of projects under the direction of senior architects. Prepare and coordinate architectural drawings, conduct code research, assist with consultant coordination, review submittals, and support the preparation of complete construction documents. Maintain accuracy of drawings and project records. Responsible for: Schematic Design - assist with early design development through drafting, basic zoning and building code research, site analysis and preparation of design materials; Design Development - Develop and refine design intent; assist in coordinating architectural drawings with engineering consultants; support material, system, and finish selections; Construction Documentation - Prepare detailed architectural construction documents for bidding and permit submission; Procurement/Bidding - Support bidding process by maintaining accurate documents and responding to contractor requests for clarification; Construction Administration - Assist with construction phase to ensure project is built in accordance with approved drawings and specifications, including review of submittals and responses to RFIs.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree (or higher), or foreign equivalent, in Architecture. Requires 3 years’ experience in job offered OR as Architectural Designer in an architectural firm. Must be licensed as an Architect in the State of GA. Must have architectural project experience across hospitality, mixed-use, multifamily residential, commercial office, retail, educational design projects constructed with concrete masonry units and large-scale urban master planning projects. Must have experience using AutoCAD, Revit, V-Ray, Enscape, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Cloud (including Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator) MSOffice, creating presentation videos using Adobe Premier. Must have experience with developing architectural drawings, renderings, physical models and 3D virtual models illustrating conceptual & schematic design, with research of zoning & code ordinances, analyzing building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, with preparing drawings for bidding and construction of building projects, and with researching materials and building systems data. Requires experience coordinating with consultants and reviewing technical documents. Must have a portfolio demonstrating professional design work.
