JR-89619 Registered Nurse (RN) Labor and Delivery (Open) Job

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Full Time Registered Nurse for the LDRP. This is a night shift position with required call. Preferred applicants will have experience specifically in Labor and Delivery and will cross train into postpartum.

Hours: Three 12-hour shifts per week with every 3rd weekend rotation on Saturday and Sunday. The required call is 16-24 hours per 6-week schedule.

Sign on bonus up to $20,000 available for qualified candidates.

LDRP:

Sentara Martha Jeffersons Women’s Health includes L&D, and a 24 bed post-partum mother/baby. Our Level 2 newborn specialty care nursery has a 1 to 1 ratio while our intermediate care babies have a 1 to 3 nursing ratio. Our LDRP unit also offers post operative care for complex GYN and Breast surgical needs. This specialty area has a 100-member team cross trained to offer best in class healthcare to Charlottesville, VA, and surrounding areas. The schedule is primarily 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holiday requirements. Education

Degree or diploma in Registered Nursing

BSN or MSN Preferred

Certification/Licensure

Women's Care - Perinatal departments; NRP within 6 months of hire.

BLS within 90 days of hire

Registered nursing license required

EFM- Electronic Fetal monitoring preferred

Certified Obstetrics Nursing preferred

Experience

2 years of acute care registered nurse experience in Women's health- Required.

Labor and Delivery specific Experience preferred

Strong understanding of patient safety protocols.

Manages complex cases in fast-paced environments

Communication with patients and providers

Must want to work night shift
