Job Description:
Otaru Japanese Kitchen is located at #168 - 8180 No. 2 Road, Richmond, BC V7C 5K1. We are currently looking for a permanent, full time Japanese (sushi) cooks. If you are interested, please submit your resume by e-mail.
Position: Cook
Wages: CAD$22.00-26.00/hour (depending on skills and experience)
Types: Full-time, Permanent (various shifts, including evening, weekends, and holidays)
Working hours: 30- 40 hours/week
Benefits: 4% of vacation pay, Free meals at work, Tips
Job Duties:
• Prepare and cook Japanese sushi food items (Sashimi, Sushi, Maki, Roll, etc.) in cooperation with the rest of the staff;
• Maintain inventory and records of food;
• Oversee kitchen operations;
• Train kitchen staff.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school;
• Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks or completion of college or other program in cooking or 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience required.
• Skills demonstration may be required.
