Japanese (Sushi) Cook Job

Sushi Wara is a Japanese restaurant located at #31-370 Davis Road, Ladysmith, BC V9G 1T9. We are currently looking for a permanent, full-time Japanese (Sushi) Cook. If you are interested, please submit your application by e-mail or mail.

Position: Cook
Wage: CAD $21.18/hour
Types: Full-time, Permanent (various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays)
Working hours: 30~40 hours/week
Benefit: 4% of vacation pay

Job Duties:
• Prepare and cook Japanese sushi items (sashimi, sushi, maki, rolls, etc), in cooperation with the rest of staff
• Maintain inventory and records of food
• Oversee kitchen operations
• Train kitchen staff

Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required; and
• Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks or completion of college or other program in cooking or 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required.
• Skills demonstration may be required.
