IT Network Technician (Entry-Level) Job

We're seeking an entry-level IT Network Technician to help maintain and support our growing network infrastructure. In this role, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of networking and communication equipment, ensuring our systems stay reliable and our users stay productive.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provision and register devices using MAC addresses, IMEI numbers, and IP addresses; support fleet management software installation
• Run, route, and terminate Cat5e/Cat6 cabling across job sites following structured cabling standards
• Maintain accurate IP address logs, device inventories, and basic technical documentation
• Install cameras, sensors, tracking devices, and related equipment at commercial sites; verify proper operation after installation
• Assist with basic user account creation, mailbox setup, and troubleshooting under Microsoft 365 and Active Directory environments
• Apply foundational knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and subnetting to support daily tasks and troubleshooting efforts
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving common hardware, software, printer, and peripheral issues under supervision
• Assist in configuring network switches, port assignments, and VLANs as directed by senior technicians
• Assist users remotely using support tools; troubleshoot across client, server, network, and cloud environments

What We're Looking For:

• Understanding of TCP/IP networking, subnetting, switching, and IP address management
• Ability to provision and manage devices using MAC addresses and IMEI numbers
• Knowledge of voltages (AC & DC)
• Good at software installations, updates, and independent troubleshooting of technical issues
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites
• Able to handle light lifting and work in outdoor environments

Nice to Have:

• Associate's degree or certification in IT, Networking, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• CompTIA Network+ or similar certification
• Prior experience with structured cabling, security camera systems, or access control installations
• Familiarity with fleet management or asset tracking software
