Irrigation System Installer
Alan Chang dba Alan's Lawn and Garden in Burnaby, BC, is looking for Full-Time, Permanent Irrigation System Installer.
Conditions:
• Job Title: Irrigation System Installer (NOC 73200 )
• Full-Time, Permanent position, 30 hours/week
• Hourly Wage: $37.00/hour
• Vacation: 4% gross salary
• Ability to work on weekends or holidays according to the working schedule.
• Number of Positions: 1

And the candidate will be expected to work at various sites in Greater Vancouver (Burnaby, Richmond, Vancouver, Coquitlam, etc.)
Job Requirements:
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Experience: 5 years of experience in irrigation system installation and maintenance is required
• Previous experience in installing residential and commercial sprinkler systems and the ability to read technical blueprints will be considered significant assets
• Physically fit, is able to manually trench by trade standards
• Previous in designing and installation is a significant asset
• Excellent customer service skills for communicating job design and installation details
• Language: English
Job Duties:
Installation & System Setup:
• Install, test, and maintain residential and commercial irrigation systems, including pipes, sprinkler heads, and specialized valves
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications to determine the precise layout and installation sequence of irrigation networks, and assist with designing.
• Install and program computerized control systems, timers, and sensors to ensure efficient water distribution
Maintenance & Operational Safety:
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective components of irrigation systems to minimize water waste and ensure system longevity
• Monitor inventory of parts and equipment and coordinate with suppliers for necessary project materials
• Ensure all installation and repair activities strictly adhere to provincial health and safety regulations
• Provide on-site technical guidance and training to junior installers or general laborers
