Job Description:
The International Sourcing Import and Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s operations while expanding its offerings through the sourcing, importation, and
promotion of authentic specialty Greek food and beverage products. This position is critical to the employer’s business model, which focuses on integrating specialty Greek products not
commonly available from U.S. suppliers.

Duties include:
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with Greek suppliers to secure authentic specialty food and beverage products.
• Apply knowledge of Greece’s export procedures and coordinate compliance with U.S. Customs, FDA, and state/local regulations governing foreign food and alcohol imports.
• Serve as the liaison between Greek suppliers and U.S. operations to integrate specialty products into the company’s hospitality and retail business.
• Manage procurement, inventory, and vendor relationships related to specialty imported products.
• Develop and implement product offerings and programs incorporating imported Greek items to achieve cultural authenticity and market differentiation.
• Train staff on preparation, service, and customer education related to Greek specialty products.
• Design and execute marketing strategies and promotional events highlighting Greek products, including collaboration with cultural organizations and local distributors.
• Monitor financial performance and analyze sales data to evaluate customer response to Greek specialty offerings and improve profitability.
• Oversee customer engagement initiatives such as tastings and events designed to promote imported Greek products.

Required qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Business or Business Administration, (foreign equivalent acceptable)
• Five years of experience as a Greek food and beverage consultant, advising on specialty food product sourcing, culinary applications, and marketing initiatives to enhance guest
experience and promote Mediterranean diet benefits.
• Experience of designing and organizing cultural and gastronomic events to promote Greek culture, authentic Greek products, and the benefits of the Mediterranean diet.
• Knowledge of Greek food and beverage markets, including supplier networks, export procedures, importation processes, and cultural/culinary applications.
• Experience sourcing and importing specialty foreign products into U.S. hospitality or retail operations.
• Proficiency with management software (POS, scheduling, and inventory platforms).
• Strong leadership, staff management, and customer service skills.
• Ability to develop marketing campaigns and analyze financial data related to specialty product sales.
• Cultural Event & Festival Organization: Planning and coordinating cultural events and festivals to promote Greek culture and the Mediterranean diet.
• Gastronomic Event Design: Development and execution of tastings, food & wine pairings, and chef’s table experiences focused on authentic Greek products.
• Thematic Events & Campaigns: Organization of marketing campaigns and cultural events that combine gastronomy with Greek music, art, and heritage.
• Strategic Collaborations: Development of partnerships with local distributors, universities, and health organizations to promote the benefits of the Mediterranean lifestyle.
• Public Relations & Communications: Promotion of Greek products and culture through local media, community engagement, and cultural outreach.
• Product Promotion Strategies: Development of product marketing strategies through cultural events to achieve differentiation in the U.S. market.
