International Procurement Specialist Job

An International Procurement Specialist is needed in Clarksville, Tennessee.

• Coordinate the overall purchasing of construction materials, machinery, and specialized supplies from international vendors and suppliers to support corporate operations and project timelines.
• Analyze and evaluate procurement processes to identify the most cost-effective and efficient international sourcing strategies, ensuring optimal inventory levels for ongoing construction projects.
• Conduct technical assessments and collaborate with engineering teams to confirm that internationally sourced materials comply with internal specifications and operational requirements.
• Prepare, review, and manage all international shipping documentation to ensure full compliance with U.S. and international customs regulations, including material classification, declared value, country of origin, tariff treatment, and preferential trade arrangements.
• Monitor and analyze international market trends, exchange rates, and commodity pricing to forecast cost fluctuations and supply chain risks; recommend responsive procurement strategies to senior management.
• Stay current with global trade policies, Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), tariff classifications, and licensing regulations to ensure compliance and minimize import duties and procurement expenses.
• Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate international contracts, and develop long-term partnerships with qualified vendors to secure consistent material quality, delivery timelines, and competitive pricing.

Bachelor’s degree in International Business, International Management, International Policy Studies, or related field of study.
