We are currently seeking an Interior Designer to join our team. Working Hours: 30-38 hours per week

About You
• Collaborate with team members to gather and interpret design requirements, listen well, and follow directions, while offering up creative solutions when requested.
• Able to assist Seniors in developing the narrative, sourcing concept imagery, and laying out concept booklets, and compiling fabrics and finishes for presentations.
• Able to assist in space planning and developing detailed floor plans to maximize the use of space and create flow between areas.
• Sourcing materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and artwork to support concept direction. Must have a basic knowledge of local vendors and sources, and able to communicate clearly when requesting sample and researching product information.
• A good basic knowledge of laying out a set of contract documents from construction plans, FF&E, RCP, finishes plans, and elevations.
• Able to assist with basic detail drawings and specification writing for construction documents.
• Able to communicate clearly and well in e-mails and drawing documentation as well as with team members, product reps and with clients.

Job Requirements:
• At least a college diploma in interior design or related field.
• Minimum one year of interior design experience working for an interior design firm; Preference for those who have hospitality design experience.
• Proficient in Auto CAD, InDesign, Microsoft Suite, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Revit. A good comprehensive knowledge of Revit is a must.
• Able to do a basic project in Revit on their own with design direction from Senior with no Revit experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and able to transition quickly from one project to the other assisting designer on multiple projects simultaneously within a weeks’ time.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Must be located in the lower mainland of BC and able to work in Canada
• References will be required
