Interior Designer Job

• Meet with clients to understand project requirements, design preferences, functional needs, and budget for residential interior design and renovation projects.
• Develop interior design concepts, space planning solutions, and layout proposals that balance aesthetics, functionality, and project requirements.
• Prepare design drawings and visual presentations using software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit, including floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings
• Select and specify appropriate materials, finishes, lighting, flooring, cabinetry, and decorative elements consistent with the design concept and client requirements.
• Estimate project costs and prepare preliminary material budgets to ensure design proposals align with project scope and financial parameters.
• Source materials and coordinate material procurement and ordering with suppliers to support project timelines.
• Coordinate with contractors and project stakeholders to ensure design specifications are properly implemented during construction.
• Conduct final inspections and assist with project completion to ensure design quality and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:
• A college diploma or university degree in interior design, architectural design, architectural technology, civil engineering or a related field is required.
• 2 years or more of experience in interior design, space planning, or residential renovation projects is required.
• Proficiency in design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar programs is required.
• Strong knowledge of interior materials, finishes, space planning, and construction coordination is an asset.

Term of Employment: Permanent Position, 35 hours per week
