Job Description:
Currently, we are looking for an Interior Designer to join our group. This position will be Full-Time and Permanent, and the work location will be 2140 1368 Kingsway Ave, Port Coquitlam, BC V3C 6P4. The wage will be $37.00/hour with 30-40 hours per week. The overtime pay will be 1.5x the regular rate, beginning after 40 hours of work per week and/or 8 hours per day.
Job Description:
• Consult with clients to identify their design goals, including stone preferences (granite, marble, engineered stone), budget, functional needs for kitchens, bathrooms, islands, and overall style direction (modern, classic, luxury, etc.).
• Design custom furniture, define mill-works dimensions, hardware and materials.
• Develop initial design concepts based on client requirements and Silverstone’s stone products, creating layout plans, material concepts, and 3D visualizations.
• Prepare detailed working drawings such as floor plans, elevations, sections, and design specifications, including material selections, edge profiles, finishes, color palettes, and decorative details.
• Provide professional stone recommendations by selecting appropriate granite or marble types from the company’s inventory and advising on finishes, edge treatments, polishing, and fabrication details.
• Estimate project costs and material requirements and coordinate with the sales and fabrication teams to prepare accurate quotations for clients.
• Coordinate with installers, contractors, and subcontractors during the installation phase, ensuring that countertops, backsplashes, and stone features are installed according to the approved design and quality standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, production, sales, and project management, to ensure smooth project execution from concept to installation.

• A College Diploma in Interior Design or a related field is required
• At least 3 years of work experience
• Experience in kitchen/bathroom design, residential interiors, or renovation projects is highly valuable
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, and Photoshop as core design tools; familiarity with Illustrator, InDesign, and Revit is considered an asset.
• Strong communication and client-interaction skills.
• Ability to work with multiple teams
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Creative mindset with strong aesthetic judgment.
