Interior Designer (and Interior Decorator) Job

1. Conduct client consultations to clearly identify design preferences, needs, safety standards, and budget.
2. Create detailed design plans, elevations, cross-sections, and 3D visualizations using CAD and graphic software.
3. Recommend materials, colors, finishes, countertops, cabinetry, lighting, and other design elements.
4. Provide accurate cost estimations, materials planning, and project scheduling.
5. Coordinate and supervise on-site installations, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
6. Collaborate closely with internal sales, fabrication, and installation teams.
7. Gather client feedback post-completion to ensure customer satisfaction.

1. Degree or diploma in Interior Design (for designers); certificate/diploma in Interior Decoration or related fields (for decorators).
2. NCIDQ certification preferred for Interior Designers; membership with the Canadian Decorators’ Association preferred for Interior Decorators.
3. Minimum 3 years’ experience in kitchen, bathroom, full-home, or commercial space design.
4. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp).
5. Knowledge of stone products (granite, quartz, marble) and relevant building codes.
6. Strong budgeting and client communication skills.
