Insurance Defense Associate Job

We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join litigation team. If you have 3+ years of insurance Defense experience in New York State, this is a prime opportunity to take your practice to the next level while working on diverse and challenging cases.

This role offers the chance to litigate high-profile matters, appear in court throughout the NYC metro area, and work directly with top insurance carriers. Depending on your interests, you may also gain hands-on experience in municipal liability/Section 1983 matters and insurance coverage analysis.

What You’ll Do

Represent clients in in-person court appearances across NYC, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, and Rockland
Handle automobile and premises cases from start to finish—discovery, depositions, motions, settlement negotiations, trial, and appeals
Provide consistent, high-quality updates and reporting to clients and insurance representatives
Manage and meet billable hour goals while advancing cases efficiently

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of insurance defense litigation experience in NY
Solid experience with depositions, court appearances, and motion practice
Admitted to the New York State Bar (federal admission a plus)
Comfortable with regular in-person practice in the NYC metro courts

Compensation & Perks

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000, based on experience
Bonus opportunities tied to achievable billable hour goals
Hybrid schedule: 2 days in Elmsford office, 3 days remote/in court
