Wage Rate and hours: $37.50 per hour, 40 hours per week

Job Location: Various locations across Lower Mainland Area
Work area: Commercial and Residential Construction projects
Language: English
Education: No education is required.
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in same field is required. However, candidates with no prior experience who have completed 3-4 years in the related trade course will be considered as well.
Job duties:
• Fit insulation between studs and joints
• Measure and cut the required insulation material with hand and power tools
• Measure, cut and install vapour barriers
• Attend safety meetings
• Follow all safety rules as per Worksafe BC procedures and company policies
• Remove asbestos or urea-formaldehyde insulation from buildings when required
• Use blow, pasting, strapping, taping to apply and secure insulation
• Select the type of insulation required as per the city building code and project requirements
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans to determine the type of insulation and quantity of material required
• Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding when required to use as per project needs
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling
Work Site Environment: Work at heights, on scaffolding, in confined spaces
