As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Insulator to join our team and uphold our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Insulator is responsible for installing and applying various insulation materials, including spray foam, batt, fiberglass, and mineral wool, to walls, attics, basements, and other building structures to improve energy efficiency and temperature control. This role involves measuring, cutting, and fitting insulation materials according to specifications, ensuring proper sealing and adherence to safety and building standards. The Insulator must maintain a clean and safe work environment, follow all company and industry regulations, and collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard of quality. Attention to detail, professionalism, and strong work ethic are essential for this position.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine insulation requirements and select the appropriate type of insulation.
• Measure, cut, and prepare insulating materials such as spray foam, batt, fiberglass, and mineral wool to required dimensions using hand and power tools.
• Apply and secure insulation materials using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other approved application and installation methods.
• Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists, studs, and other structural components to ensure complete coverage and thermal efficiency.
• Install vapour barriers and apply waterproofing materials or fire-retardant coatings as required.
• Inspect completed insulation work to verify proper installation and compliance with safety and building standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Remove old or hazardous insulation materials, such as asbestos or urea-formaldehyde, in accordance with safety regulations when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Experience: 1 year of work experience as an Insulator
• Education: Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience
• Languages: Proficiency in English
