Job Description:
Routinely monitor data center equipment, including servers, storage systems, and networking devices, to ensure optimal performance and uptime. Manage end-to-end hardware lifecycle including vendor negotiations, cost-benefit analysis, and procurement of enterprise-grade equipment aligned with business requirements. Supervise assesses current and future capacity needs to ensure the data center can handle growth in data and workloads. Track the lifecycle of hardware assets, from procurement to decommissioning, ensuring timely upgrades and replacements. Optimize system performance through performance analysis and implementing optimizations. Ensure system architecture meets security and compliance standards and implements appropriate controls. Maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware, software, and network components within the data center. Create detailed migration plans for moving workloads, applications, and data between servers or data centers with minimal downtime. Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of equipment failure or data loss. Plan and execute complex lift-and-shift operations for client systems with zero data loss, developing comprehensive migration runbooks and rollback strategies. Design and implement impact mitigation strategies for maintenance/upgrades, including change management protocols and failover solutions to maintain SLA compliance. Facilitate cross-functional communication with IT, security, and business units through regular operational briefings and incident post-mortems. Forecast infrastructure requirements using utilization trend analysis and scaling models to support business growth objectives. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in system architecture and IT infrastructure. Collaborate with software developers, network administrators, and project managers to deliver successful projects. Identify potential risks during equipment upgrades or migrations and implement mitigation strategies. Design and develop scalable and efficient system architectures that meet business requirements. Gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications and system designs. Ensure seamless integration of various systems, applications, and platforms within the IT infrastructure. Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve system performance and security. Create and maintain system architecture documentation, including design documents, diagrams, and technical specifications. Use of AWS, Microsoft Azure, open stack, Virtual Box, VMware vSphere Vagrant, Docker, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Ant, Maven, Jenkins, Bamboo, run deck, Urban Deploy, Python, Ruby & Perl language.
Position supervises 20-45 people including Windows/Linux/Network/Firewall Teams; the roles can be Windows Administrator/Engineer, Linux Administrator/Engineer, Network Administrator or FireWall Associate. Travel to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. may be required to work at end-client locations, at least once or twice a year based on client’s needs. Must be willing to relocate and work anywhere in the U.S.

Education: Must possess a Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience: 6 years’ experience in the position offered or a related position.
Special skills:
Aforementioned 6 years of experience must include at least 2 years in the following:
