• Position: Registered Massage Therapist
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $40.00~$43.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 102-2764 Barnet Highway, Coquitlam, BC V3B 1B9
Benefits:
• 4% vacation pay
Job Duties:
• Conduct a range of motion and muscle tests and propose treatment plans for clients
• Keep records of treatments given
• Press specific points on the body with the fingers and hands
• Describe the risks, benefits, and procedures to clients
• Provide information about techniques for home care and provide instructions
• Massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body
• Administer massage techniques through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, joint pain, and lower grade mobilizations
Job Requirements:
• Language: English
• Experience: Experience is an asset
• Education: Completion of an 18- to -24 month or 18- to 36-month program in massage therapy from an accredited school and a period of supervised practical training
• Certificate: Certification by a provincial association for massage therapists is required
