Industrial Sewing Machine Operator (NOC 94132)

Number of Positions Available: 8
Term of Employment: Permanent Position, 40 hours per week
Location of Work: Winnipeg, Manitoba
Wage: $16.20 per hour plus piece work bonus
Language Requirements: English

Responsibilities
Follow instructed specifications to:
• Set Zippers on winter outerwear garments.
• Set linings to shells on winter outerwear garments.
• Join Seams on 3 needles overlap felling machines.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs on the sewing machine.

Qualifications
• One year documented hands-on experience with single needle, or two needle lock stitch
sewing machines, or 3 needle overlap felling machines.
• Some secondary school education.
• Ability to work effectively within a piecework system.
