Job Description:
IEG is hiring skilled Industrial Electricians and Industrial Service Electricians to join our Nashville-area team. In this role, you’ll troubleshoot, install, repair, and calibrate electrical and electronic systems at customer sites. This is a field-based role supporting industrial, manufacturing, and facility environments.
What You’ll Do
Test and measure AC/DC power, utilities, and control circuits
Diagnose malfunctioning systems using meters, schematics, and technical manuals
Troubleshoot and repair 3-phase systems, transformers, PLCs, instrumentation, and industrial controls
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment
Install, modify, and inspect conduit systems (EMT, Rigid, Rob Roy, PVC)
Use hand tools, electric benders, threading, cutting, and reaming equipment
Lead small crews during shutdowns: assign tasks, order materials, manage workflow
Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and internal teams
Travel locally up to 50 miles; occasional overnight trips as required.

Job Requirements:
What We’re Looking For
2+ years industrial electrical or maintenance experience (Journeyman-level preferred)
Strong troubleshooting skills across AC/DC motors, controls, and electrical systems
Solid knowledge of electrical safe work practices and LOTO
Ability to read/interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
Comfort working at heights, bending/lifting, and standing for extended periods
Ability to work days, nights, weekends, depending on customer needs
Leadership ability—willing to mentor and train apprentices
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license & clean MVR
Reliable transportation
Able to pass a background check and drug screen
Consistent, on-time attendance is required
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
PLC I/O troubleshooting
Instrumentation calibration
Prior industrial service experience
OSHA 10/30 or NFPA 70E training
