is in need of Industrial Painter
NOC Code: 94213
Employment Terms: Full Time – Permanent
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Conform to quality control standards and construction specifications, drawings, sketches, layout boards, etc., and/or verbal instructions
2. Apply blasting materials to fabricated products
3. Operate and service all equipment associated with coating, painting, and sandblasting
4. Use sandblasting equipment with specified media and applying epoxy primers and urethane topcoats
5. Read, understand and follow working instructions/directions, policies, procedures
6. Attend daily production meetings, report status of jobs in progress
7. Maintain frequent contact with QC and Production to ensure all blasting and coating requirements are met
8. Follow the company safe work procedures and legislated safety requirements
9. Comply with all WHMIS and environmental regulations regarding the storage, use and disposal of hazardous chemicals
10. Prepare and/or apply industrial primer, paint, and/or industrial coatings (protective and decorative) to all parts of finished products and/or equipment
11. Operate brush or spray equipment as required and is responsible for proper storage and handling of all consumables, paints and painting supplies
12. Perform other related duties as required
Working Hours: 8 hours/day; 40 hours/week; shift will vary between days and nights from Monday to Friday; 2 days off on Saturday and Sunday
Wage/Benefits: $27.87/hour; Extended Medical, Dental and Disability Insurance

Employment Requirements:
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Work Experience: At least 1 year of related experience is required; Familiarity with tank, vessel and pipe coating and sandblasting experience would be an asset
• Ability to calculate values in Metric and Imperial
• Ability to give and take clear direction; verbal and written
• Hand tools required
• Must pass pre-employment physical demands and abilities assessment
