Industrial Mechanic Job

We are seeking experienced Industrial Mechanics to join our Maintenance Department. The successful candidates will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and testing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment used in a high-volume food manufacturing environment. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting continuous production in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing facility.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Install, align, dismantle, and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, including conveyors, mixers, ovens, proofers, and packaging systems
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure reliable and continuous production operations
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools
• Repair and restore equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime and maintain efficiency
• Inspect industrial machinery for defects, wear, and proper operation, and perform necessary adjustments or repairs
• Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks for repairs or modification of machinery components when required
• Support installation, setup, and commissioning of new production equipment and system upgrades
• Maintain and service automated production systems, including sensors and PLC-controlled equipment
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and equipment logs
• Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations

Requirements of Position:
• High School Diploma
• Post-secondary education in Engineering, Industrial Mechanics, Millwrighting, or a related technical discipline is considered a strong asset
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar industrial maintenance role
• Strong skills in the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment

Compensation & Conditions:
• $37 per hour
• Minimum 30-hour work week. Rotating day and night shifts, including weekends, based on the production schedule and operational requirements. Shift lengths vary according to the established rotation. Overtime may be required.
• Overtime pay will apply after 44 hours of work per week
