Job Description:
This is job requirement for Industrial Mechanic:
Read, interpret, and apply complex blueprints, electrical schematics, refrigeration diagrams, and mechanical drawings to determine work procedures for the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of diverse commercial food service equipment.
Install, align, dismantle, and set up various commercial kitchen machinery (such as ovens, refrigeration units, ice machines, and blast chillers) according to engineering specifications and safety standards. Utilize appropriate hand and power tools, and apply safe lifting and positioning techniques (e.g., with jacks, dollies, or lifting platforms) to move and place equipment and parts during repairs or installations.
Conduct thorough inspections and examinations of machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities, malfunctions, and root causes of failure across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and refrigeration components.
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain integrated systems within commercial kitchen equipment, including:
 Power transmission components (motors, belts, gears) and drive systems.
 Hydraulic and pneumatic systems (e.g., steam valves, water lines, air-driven components).
 Advanced electronic controls and programmable logic sequences (e.g., within combi ovens, blast chillers, dry agers).
 Crucially, install, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC-integrated systems, cooling coils, compressors, fans, and thermal control systems.
 Maintain Vacuum system and related components (for Orved, packing machines and vacuum pumps)
Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts (e.g., motors, bearings, belts, valves, seals, compressors, control boards, sensors). Operate precision tools and general workshop equipment (e.g., grinders for minor fabrication or modification) to prepare or adapt parts as required during overhaul and maintenance.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication on machinery to ensure optimal performance, extend lifespan, and prevent future faults.
Align, level, and thoroughly test repaired equipment using mechanical tools, gauges, and calibration devices to ensure units meet or exceed manufacturer specifications and performance benchmarks before shipping back to the customer.
Maintain accurate service records, detailed inspection reports, and precise parts inventories to ensure efficient operations and seamless customer support.
Strictly adhere to all workplace health and safety protocols, equipment standards, and environmental regulations, especially concerning electrical safety.
Assemble complex commercial kitchen equipment and sub-assemblies prior to installation and repair, utilizing hand and power tools, and specialized techniques.
Job Requirements:
Completion of bachelor’s degree (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering) required
A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an Industrial Mechanic, Commercial Appliance Technician, or a similar role, with a demonstrated focus on electromechanical systems, refrigeration, and diagnostics.
Strong understanding of industrial mechanical systems, and HVAC components
Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical diagnostics
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and manuals
Proficient in using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and hoisting equipment
Basic knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), pneumatic and vacuum systems
Good communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities
Physical ability to lift, move, or position heavy machinery and work in various postures
