Industrial Mechanic Job

Freshouse Foods is a privately owned company with two facilities in Southern Ontario. With over 60 years of major retail and food service experience, our expertise in product development has enabled the company to react swiftly to customer wants and expectations.

We are currently seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to support the maintenance and reliability of our food processing equipment.

-Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on food processing machinery and production lines
-Assist with equipment set-up, changeovers, and operational adjustments
-Perform preventative maintenance and support planned repairs to improve efficiency and reliability
-Respond to equipment breakdowns and assist with diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues
-Clean, lubricate, and service machinery according to maintenance schedules
-Follow lock-out/tag-out and workplace safety procedures and maintain maintenance records
-Test equipment after repairs and recommend improvements to machine performance
-Perform other related duties as required

- 2–3 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
-Completion of secondary school preferred; relevant vocational or industry training considered an asset.
-Knowledge of mechanical systems, hand tools, and power tools
-Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and procedures
-Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
-Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines
-Availability to work weekends and respond to urgent equipment breakdowns as required by production operations.
