Responsibilities
Tasks:
Assemble mechanical equipment
Assemble stationary industrial machinery
Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
Construct foundations for machinery
Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
Operate machining tools to fabricate parts
Installing machinery and equipment
Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments
Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical systems failures
Refer to schematic drawings or product manuals to repair parts
Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices
Repair and overhaul aircraft structural, mechanical or hydraulic systems
Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings and specifications
Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
Replace worn parts on machines
Complete and maintain test and service reports
Maintain industrial instrumentation and related devices
Perform quality control and proofreading
Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system.
