Industrial Instrument Technician Job

Job Duties: 
1.Install and set up instrumentation equipment such as pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature sensors, and level transmitters. Ensure proper wiring and connection of instruments to control systems according to schematics and technical documentation.
2.Perform commissioning activities, including loop checks and functional testing, to ensure system operability. Regularly inspect, maintain, and calibrate instruments to ensure accurate readings and reliable operation.
3.Troubleshoot and repair faulty instrumentation and control systems to minimize downtime. Maintain records of calibration activities and ensure compliance with industry standards.
4.Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams in the diagnosis and resolution of instrumentation and control issues. Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
5.Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, ensuring that all work is performed in a safe manner. Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and environmental regulations in all instrumentation activities.
6.Work with engineering teams to upgrade and modify control systems to enhance productivity and safety.
7.Maintain accurate documentation of all instrumentation systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and calibration records. Prepare and submit regular reports on maintenance activities, system performance, and any incidents or anomalies.
8.Participate in training and development programs to stay updated with the latest instrumentation technology and best practices.
9.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability and efficiency of the facility’s instrumentation systems.

1.A college diploma or degree in Instrumentation Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience can also be considered.
2.Minimum two years of practical experience as an Instrumentation Technician or a relevant role.
3.Proficiency in the installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of various industrial instruments and control systems.
4.Familiarity with process control loops, safety instrumented systems (SIS), and hazardous area instrumentation.
5.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
6.Excellent communication and documentation skills.
