Job Description: Industrial Electrician

Terms of employment: Permanent; Full-time; Day/Evening

Wages: $40.00 per hour for 40 hours per week

Education required: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Certificates/Licenses: Industrial Electrician Trade Certification

Work experience preferred: 3 – 5 years

Install and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices; Install electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components; Maintain industrial instrumentation and related devices; Replace or repair electrical components; Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance; Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems; Maintain inventory of stored material; Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices; Interpret electrical code specifications; Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
