In-Home Child Caregiver Job

Kang Family is looking to hire a full-time, permanent In-Home Child Caregiver in Surrey, BC, to care for their 3-year-old and 7-year-old daughters. The candidate should have completed higher secondary education, have at least 1 year of experience, or have completed the Live-In Caregiver Training program. Knowledge of English is a must, and knowledge of a North Indian language would be an asset.

The person should be able to perform the following duties & Responsibilities:

• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents.
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
• Wash, iron and press clothing and household linen.
• Bathe, dress and feed infants and children.
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
• Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
• Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• Prepare infants and children for rest periods.
• Supervise and care for children.
• Take children to and from school and to appointments.
• Tend to emotional well-being of children.
• Help children with homework

We pay a competitive wage of $19.00/ hr and 40 hours per week.
