Job Description:
Our family is in urgent need of an experienced and compassionate Caregiver for a person with high medical needs to provide ongoing in-home care at our residence in Thornhill, Ontario.
The ideal candidate will have experience working as a Caregiver for a person with high medical needs or a similar role.
You will be responsible for:
• Attending to a person with high medical needs and providing constant care
• Assisting with bedside and personal care such as personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, dressing
• Preparing dietary meals and assisting with the feeding process
• Carrying out basic health-related tasks such as assisting in the administration of medications and collecting specimens
• Performing light housekeeping tasks: making the bed, washing dishes after meals, and laundry
Requirements:
• At least 1 year of working experience as a Caregiver for a person with high medical or a similar role
• Completion of Secondary School
• Completion of a training program (e.g. Caregiver) is an asset
• First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
• High attentiveness and excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong work ethic including accountability, punctuality and good judgement
• Availability and flexibility to work weekends
• Good command of English
Compensation and Conditions:
- $21.00 per hour based on 30-hour work week
- Permanent, full-time position
- Location of work: Thornhill, ON, L4J 8P6
