Import Procurement Compliance Specialist Job

An Import Procurement Compliance Specialist is needed in Georgetown, Texas.

• Coordinate import procurement process for business operations for manufacturing hard plastic automotive parts.
• Ensure compliance of all parts and products sourced from overseas vendors with import regulations and standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all international transactions in alignment with international trade laws and U.S. customs regulations, including accurate classifications, valuation, origin determinations, tariff treatments, and preferential treatments.
• Prepare documents for bid proposal solicitations, analyze price proposals, or create requisitions for supplies, parts, and materials.
• Analyze Free Trade Agreements, tariff classifications, and licensing requirements to minimize costs associated with international purchasing.
• Verify that all imported products adhere to required specifications and regulatory standards for import quantities.
• Refine and enhance quoting policies and methods to accurately evaluate opportunities, solicit appropriate bids, and select the most cost-effective options based on total cost considerations.
• Monitor and forecast international market trends that could impact corporate profit margins and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.

Bachelor’s degree in International Business, International Trade or related field of study.
