Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Including but not limited to the following:
• Maintain accurate import, inventory, and material records in SAP and ERP systems to ensure compliance with supply specifications, shipment documentation, and internal control standards.
• Review and verify Bills of Materials (BoMs) and production order data in ERP systems prior to production to ensure proper material allocation and traceability.
• Coordinate and manage the flow of inbound and outbound international shipments, track product movement across logistics channels, and ensure timely delivery of materials required for automotive manufacturing operations.
• Ensure all import and export entries are properly prepared and filed with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), including Entry, ISF, EEI, and related documentation, and verify that duties, tariffs, and tax payments are processed accurately and on time.
• Monitor and analyze tariffs, HTS classifications, and international trade regulations, maintaining internal databases and ensuring company compliance with applicable U.S. import/export laws.
• Administer and maintain company-wide import/export compliance policies, procedures, and SOPs, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal operational standards.
• Support procurement and supply chain operations by soliciting supplier bids, analyzing pricing proposals, and creating requisitions for materials and components used in automotive parts manufacturing.
• Ensure compliance with free trade agreements including USMCA (NAFTA successor) and Korea–U.S. FTA, verifying product origin, valuation methods, and qualification requirements for automotive components such as fuel tank modules and EV battery pack cases.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in import/export compliance, logistics, or supply chain operations, preferably within an automotive parts manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with SAP and ERP systems for managing import/export documentation, inventory tracking, BoM verification, and supply chain data.
