Job Description:
Responsibilities: Including but not limited to the following:
• Apply and implement International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in the preparation of financial statements to ensure alignment with the accounting policies and reporting requirements of the Korea-based parent company.
• Convert U.S. GAAP-based financial records to IFRS-compliant financial statements, including preparation of reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation for consolidation reporting purposes.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS financial reporting packages for submission to the parent company, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
• Analyze and account for manufacturing-related transactions (inventory valuation, standard costing, overhead allocation, revenue recognition, lease accounting, impairment testing, and intangible assets) in accordance with IFRS standards.
• Coordinate intercompany transactions and eliminations, ensuring compliance with IFRS requirements related to consolidated financial statements and transfer pricing considerations.
• Monitor and interpret updates to IFRS regulations and assess their impact on the company’s financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting policies.
• Support external and internal audits by preparing IFRS-compliant schedules, disclosures, and technical accounting memoranda.
• Collaborate with ERP and accounting teams to ensure financial data is structured and maintained in a manner that supports IFRS reporting and consolidation requirements.
• Develop and maintain internal accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency between U.S. operations and IFRS-based group reporting standards.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to management regarding IFRS implications for capital investments, manufacturing expansion, inventory management, and revenue-generating activities.
• Assist management in financial planning and analysis by preparing IFRS-based performance reports, variance analyses, and financial projections.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Administration, Accounting or a related field, and at least 6 months of relevant experience in IFRS Accounting for automotive parts manufacturing.
