Position Info:
• Position: Early Childhood Educator
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $38.50/hour
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 2
• Work Location: 5989 Nelson Ave, Burnaby, BC V5H 3H8

Job Duties:
• Design and execute early childhood programs that promote children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
• Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive classroom environment that meets provincial licensing regulations and ensures children’s safety, health, and security
• Assess individual child development and progress to create customized learning and care plans
• Monitor child behavior and growth, preparing objective reports for parents and management regarding any learning or behavioral concerns
• Supervise and coordinate the daily classroom tasks and activities of early childhood educators and ECE assistants
• Apply thorough knowledge of child care licensing regulations to daily center operations and program delivery
• Maintain active and regular communication with parents to share updates on their child's daily progress and overall development
• Lead creative and interactive activities including arts and crafts, music, dramatic play, and physical games
• Build positive, professional working relationships with colleagues, management, and relevant community support services

Job requirements:
• Experience: 2-3 years of experience in early childhood education or childcare is required
• Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, ECE Certificate
• Language: English
