Position Title: Hydraulic Design Engineer
Location: 9550 W Higgins Road, Suite 910, Rosemont, IL 60018
Position Responsibilities: Support client for leading and managing new product development in the domain of off-road agriculture equipment Large Tractor. Design and development of hydraulic components pumps, valves, filter head, manifold, hydraulic routings and hose assemblies as per engineering requirements. Run calculations, perform hydraulic design validation and leak risk assessment studies for routing packages. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, warehouse and quality for prototype builds and assembly line issues related to hydraulic systems. Perform design and development of structural components including brackets, supports, mounting structures and related assemblies to ensure strength and manufacturability. Collaborate with suppliers for part modifications, sample validation and technical clarification. Review engineering drawings, BOMs and technical specifications to ensure compliance with project standards. Ensure smooth transition from design phase to production through effective coordination and collaborate closely with the lead design engineer. Utilize CAD for 3D modeling, space claim and design evaluation.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field, PLUS one (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related position. Experience must include demonstrable knowledge of: New Product Design & Development of Structural Components; Hydraulic & Pneumatic System; Manufacturing Processes incl Tubing/Hoses, Casting, Injection Molding, & Fabrication; GD&T; Testing & Validation of Mechanical Components; Materials Engineering incl Rubber, Metals, Plastic, & Composites; Project Management; Cad Design; Creo 8.0; SolidWorks; AutoCAD; PLM Tools: Teamcenter; Windchill, and; Engineering Drawings & Blueprint Reading. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree PLUS one (1) year of experience, will accept three (3) years of experience. May telecommute from any location within the U.S.
