• As a Building and Watch Engineer, based in Torrance, CA, you’ll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services – uninterrupted. A hybrid Building and Watch Engineer position encompass maintenance, operation, and repair of HVAC Mechanical and Building Automation Systems, which is subject to a trimester rotation of a 24/7/365 shift schedule.
• This position involves HVAC facility operation, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of a commercial facilities Air, Water and Building Automation Systems. The campus is primarily served by a Central Plant for campus Cooling and Heating requirements. Experience with these systems is advantageous. A candidate should have competent electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, brazing, diagnostic, and mechanical abilities.
• A candidate will adhere to site standards for safety, quality, housekeeping and security. They will be under direct supervision, utilizing standard HVAC testing equipment and tools. They will record pertinent information for equipment and systems maintenance logs. They will demonstrate the ability to identify the need for diagnosis and repair of all related equipment. They are expected to implement accepted trade practices consistent with HVAC industry standards. They will participate in operations, inspection and repair of equipment and systems. They are expected to perform all duties in accordance with company and site safety standards.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
• Advanced students of an Applied Technologies HVAC program.
• EPA Refrigerant License or ability to obtain within 1 year of being hired.
• Clean Driving Record.
Ideally, you'll also have:
• Associate of Arts/Science degree achieved or achieving in HVAC/R technologies.
• 1 to 3 years of related HVAC experience in campus related areas of industrial or commercial HVAC work.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification.
• Show up at your scheduled shift and ready to work.
