Job Description:
The Bug Company, a leader in the live feeder insect industry, is excited to announce an opening for a Full-Time Insect Production Team Member. This position offers the unique opportunity to join a dedicated team focused on providing top-quality care to our insect populations which are essential for pet nutrition across various markets. Our dynamic team environment is a great place for a motivated individual to develop their skills in a growing and essential industry. This is a position for those with an interest in biology, entomology, or insect rearing. Please note, that this position is not a remote job and will require your presence at our facility in Fairfield, OH.
Job Requirements:
Ability to gain knowledge regarding care of living products or animals.
Reliability in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Ability to prepare necessary materials efficiently.
Skill in performing tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
Efficiency in working both independently and as a team member, with strong interpersonal skills.
Professional demeanor and a friendly attitude towards co-workers and other staff.
Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as deemed appropriate by management.
A willingness to adhere to all company guidelines and procedures, aiming for the best in industry practices.
Ability to work in a dusty, hot humid, environment.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently.
Ability to stand in place, squat, kneel, bend, and carry frequently.
Ability to problem solve.
Ability to understand and speak English
Ability to count to 100 and simple math
Ability to use a box cutter and tape gun
Must be able to work directly with and handle live insects.
