is in need of a HUNTING GUIDE
NOC: 64322
EMPLOYMENT TERMS: Seasonal (September 1 – November 15, 2026)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide advice on different hunting strategies, including season timing, location selection, and methods of hunting
2. Lead hunting parties in the field during hunting seasons to locate and shoot game animals
3. Provide safety instructions to hunters on firearm safety and handling before allowing them to hunt
4. Prepare for hunting trips by scouting for locations that are prime for hunting certain game species
5. Prepare hunters’ equipment for the trip, including setting up blinds or other structures used for concealment and calling in animals using bird calls, animal sounds, or other methods
6. Help clients select appropriate hunting gear based on species hunted, season, terrain, and other factors
7. Guide hunters in the field and assisting them with their equipment during hunts
8. Teach proper hunting ethics to ensure that they do not violate laws or ethical codes of conduct.
9. Ensure compliance to all safety procedures.
WORKING HOURS: 10-12 hours/day, 60-72 hours/week, work hour varies between 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM; 1 varied day off per week
WAGE: $20.00/hour
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
• Education: Secondary school education is required.
• Work Experience:
o Minimum 2-year related work experience is required.
o Need to demonstrate the ability to successfully operate a short reed waterfowl call
