Position Summary
The Human Resources & Compliance Specialist will support all aspects of human resources operations while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. This position plays a key role in maintaining a positive workplace, supporting employee relations, managing HR administration, and assisting with compliance initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and employee documentation.
- Maintain employee records and HRIS with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with payroll preparation, attendance tracking, and benefits administration.
- Support employee relations by responding to employee inquiries and assisting with workplace investigations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Coordinate compliance training, including safety, harassment prevention, and company-required programs.
- Prepare reports related to HR metrics, turnover, training, and compliance.
- Assist with internal and external audits, including I-9, EEO, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Support performance evaluation and employee development programs.
- Help develop and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook materials.
- Collaborate with management to foster a positive and compliant work environment.
- Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
Preferred
- Experience in automotive manufacturing.
- Knowledge of payroll and HRIS systems.
- Bilingual in English and Korean is a plus.
