Housekeeping Supervisor (The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods) Job

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to fill the role of Housekeeping Supervisor, Full-time at The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods.

• Responsible for coordinating Environmental Services activities for hospital setting and supervising shift staff


• Ensuring physical safety and sanitation; and maintaining and fostering positive and professional working relationships


• Implement and complete special cleaning projects


• Perform the duties of quality control, training and implementing program goals


• Accepts responsibility for a limited area, shift and/or task(s) as assigned


• Monitors assigned shift to ensure work is being completed properly and personnel are following


• Assists in the training and re-training of shift personnel as outlined by the EVS


• Motivates staff utilizing positive communication and fostering team work


• Maintains clean, neat and orderly areas in the account


• Inspects equipment daily to maintain it in a clean condition and good repair


• Reports any equipment/supply needs to the EVS Manager


• Performs quality control by utilizing inspection tools


• Ensures patient confidentiality; follows HIPAA guidelines

Requirements:

• A minimum of two (2) years of Environmental Services experience


• Strong work ethic


• Effective verbal and written communication skills


• Demonstrate an understanding of EVS equipment and supplies


• Be able to lift 50 pounds
