Duties
· Perform thorough cleaning of rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
· Handle laundry operations efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing clothes, linens and towels
· Use janitorial equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and mops, to maintain pristine floors and surfaces
· Follow safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical handling to ensure safe use of cleaning agents and prevent hazards
· Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to management protocols and industry best practices
· Assist with emergency procedures when necessary to ensure safety and operational continuity

Skills
· Proven experience in nursing home housekeeping or custodial roles with a focus on industrial cleaning or janitorial experience
· Ability to handle chemical agents safely while following all safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines
· Skilled in the use of cleaning equipment such as vacuums, and other janitorial tools
· Excellent manual handling skills for lifting tasks involved in laundry and cleaning operations
· Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly approach toward residents, guests and team members
