Job Description
Job Summary:
Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments. Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms. Performs any combination of the following tasks to maintain guestrooms, working areas, and the hotel premises in general in a clean and orderly manner.

Responsibilities:

In addition to general housekeeping, the housekeeper duties in the boutique hotel environment will include:

Clean corridors, lobbies, stairways as well as guest rooms
Organize work schedule from the room status list, arrivals and departures
Distribute linen, towels and room supplies using wheeled carts or by hand
Make up beds and cots
Restock room supplies such as drinking glasses, soaps, shampoos, writing supplies, mini bar
Replace dirty linens with clean items
Inspect and turn mattresses regularly
Store all dirty laundry in line with company policy
Monitor guest laundry bags
Replace laundry bags and slips
Check all appliances in rooms are in working order
Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
Respond to guest queries and requests
Respond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills, broken glasses
Deliver any requested housekeeping items to guest rooms
Remove room service items
Organize and restock cart at the end of the shift
Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms
Follow all company safety and security procedures
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards
Observe and report damage of hotel property
Wash and fold laundry for next day
Keep laundry room laundry room to avoid pests

Job Qualifications: General Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s) required

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods
Knowledge of cleaning sensitive materials
Working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment
Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend
Ability to lift, push and pull required load (Up to 30lbs)
Previous housekeeping experience preferred however, not required
Physical Demands: Physical, Mental and workplace Environment Conditions

The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
The employee is frequently required to stand and walk
Requires moderate physical efforts: standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling and pushing, lifting of weights up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision & focus
