Job Duties:
?? Oversee day-to-day lodge operations to ensure smooth service in a busy, high-occupancy environment.
?? Coordinate front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest service teams to maintain consistent service standards.
?? Monitor occupancy, staffing, and guest flow, making adjustments quickly to support full-capacity periods.
? Handle guest concerns, service recovery, and escalated issues promptly and professionally.
?? Review housekeeping and room readiness to ensure guest accommodations are prepared on time.
?? Work with maintenance staff to prioritize repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility readiness.
?? Manage daily operational reporting, basic budgets, and expense control measures.
?? Support workplace safety, emergency procedures, and compliance with lodge policies and applicable regulations.
?? Hire, train, schedule, and coach staff to maintain reliable coverage during peak demand.
??Other duties as required to support the team.
Job Requirements:
?? Post-secondary education in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is preferred or 1-2 years of experience in hotel, lodge, or accommodation management is required.
?? Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams in a fast-paced environment.
?? Working knowledge of front office systems, scheduling, and basic reporting tools.
?? Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain standards at full capacity.
?? Reliable transportation is required due to the lodge’s location about 50 minutes from Thompson.
??? Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills are essential.
?? Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require.
