SKILLS

Tasks:
Coordinate, assign and review the work of front desk agents and other guest-service staff.
Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities with housekeeping, maintenance and other hotel departments.
Supervise front desk operations and ensure efficient guest check-in, check-out and reservation services.
Resolve work-related issues and guest concerns and prepare and submit operational reports.
Train front desk staff in job duties, safety procedures, customer-service standards and company policies.
Assist guests with special requests and needs and resolve complaints when required.
Requisition front desk materials, supplies and other required items.
Ensure the smooth operation of reservation systems, computers, payment terminals, telephones and other front desk equipment, and arrange maintenance or repairs when required.
Perform the same duties as front desk employees when required, including processing reservations, registering guests, assigning rooms, processing payments and responding to guest enquiries.
Monitor front desk activities to ensure hotel procedures and customer-service standards are followed.

Supervision:
1 to 2 people

Education:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience:
1 year to less than 2 years

Languages:
English
