Hostel Manager Job

The Canmore Hotel Hostel is looking for a Hostel Manager. Our business is located in Canmore, Alberta, Canada.

Wages:
$38.60 per hour for 30 to 44 hours per week.
Staff accommodation will be provided

Terms of Employment:
Permanent; Full-Time

Education and Work Experience:
Minimum of a college diploma in hotel management or other related discipline is required. Work experience will be an asset
Or
If no formal education, then equivalent in work experience will be considered

Job duties:
• Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures governing daily hostel operations.
• Prepare operating budgets and monitor revenue, expenses, and overall financial performance.
• Negotiate with suppliers and service providers for materials, equipment, and other operational requirements.
• Negotiate agreements with clients and organizations seeking to use hostel facilities.
• Develop and implement business, marketing, and promotional plans to increase occupancy and revenue.
• Establish staff schedules and coordinate daily work assignments to ensure adequate operational coverage.
• Assist guests with accessibility requirements, special requests, and other accommodation needs.
• Respond promptly to guest complaints and concerns, and take appropriate corrective action.
• Monitor service standards and ensure the hostel provides a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for guests.
