Golden Age Home Care is seeking Home Support Workers to provide personal care and support for elderly clients at various locations in Edmonton, Alberta. This is an on-site position; work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
We offer:

• Hours: 30 - 40 hours per week

Job Requirements:
Duties and responsibilities:
• Support the senior with mobility, including safe transfers between bed, chair and other areas of the home
• Provide assistance with bathing, toileting, dressing, and daily hygiene routines
• Assist with meals, including preparation, serving and feeding support when necessary
• Ensure medications are taken correctly and on schedule, including direct assistance when required
• Encourage and assist with light physical activity such as walking or prescribed exercises
• Observe and document changes in physical condition, mood or behaviour and report concerns promptly
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment, including laundry, linen changes and light household tasks
• Provide attentive companionship and emotional support throughout the day
• Ensure safety and supervision inside and outside the home
• Accompany the senior to medical appointments or community activities as needed
• Follow and maintain the established daily care plan and routine
Qualifications and Skills:
• Must be able to communicate in English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in related occupation/field
• Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling; Combination of sitting, standing, and walking; Physically demanding work; Repetitive tasks
